Uyo stands still as Aity Dennis lights up The Return Festival!


The 2021 edition of the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival christened, The Return, held last Friday in Uyo, the Akwa State capital continues to reverbrate with pleasant memories. It featured a kaleidoscope of Nigerian artistes and a group from South Africa. Stars on parade were Panam Percy Paul, Dunsin Oyekan, Tim Godfrey, Bobby Friga , Ema Onyx and Aity Dennis among a host of others.

Fans of Aity Dennis, the popular home girl who has featured in many editions of the global music event, were excited when she took the stage shortly after the soul stirring homily by world-renowned preacher, Pastor EA Adeboye and an inspiring exhortation by Bishop TD Jakes of The Potters House, Dallas, USA.

Spotting a lilac gown over the official costume of the event, Aity Dennis thrilled the mammoth crowd with her new song, Iberedem Mmi (My Ebenezer). Known for her abundant energy and enchanting dance steps, the Akwa Ibom Music Ambassador did not disappoint as she got her fans dancing in praise to the ever dependable God who never fails.

Iberedem Mmi extols the redoubtable , reliability and faithfulness of Jehovah, the ultimate Rock of help. Released during her recent music tour of the United States of America, the song is enjoying massive airplay on both radio and television stations across Nigeria.

Speaking at the sidelines of the 2021 Carols Festival, Aity Dennis who is based in Lagos, said this year's event was special for her because she was returning home with a special song in Ibibio for her Akwa Ibom fans. Her last Ibibio song, Amkpaidem, was released ten years ago.

Meanwhile, Multiple award winning Aity Dennis hit the ground running few weeks back when she released the video for her new video, Iberedem Mmi (My Ebenezer) which coincided with the 10th anniversary of her annual concert, Unstoppable Praise.

The presentation which took place at The Megalife Centre, Sure Word Assembly, Okota, Lagos, was directed by Edibren and King Baseda. The video was shot against a backdrop of colourful and pristine scenes from various locations in the artiste's home state, Akwa Ibom. The vocals are complemented with pulsating acoustics, classy choreography and drama.

The audio version of Iberedem Mmi

was released in the US in July to mark Aity 's birthday and was presented to the Akwa Ibom and Nigerian audience in September, in good time to generate praise to God for the creation of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria's Independence.
