FK Haugesund signs Nigeria’s Hilary Gong

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Norwegian Eliteserien side FK Haugesund is on the verge of announcing the signing of Nigerian winger Hilary Gong.
The 23-year-old is moving to FK Haugesund as a free agent after ending his association with Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem this week.
Gong has already put pen to paper on a contract with FK Haugesund following a successful medical ahead of an official confirmation of the deal by the Seagulls.
FK Haugesund have pulled off a significant transfer coup with the signing of
Gong, seeing off competition from Turkish Super Lig club Fatih Karagumruk.
The pacy winger was offered a preliminary contract by Fatih Karagumrük but opted to join FK Haugesund as he wanted to start playing straightaway rather than wait in the summer.
Fatih Karagumrük highlighted him as a direct replacement for Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa who is also attracting interest before the transfer window reopens for business.
Signed from AS Trencin in exchange for 2.5 million euros in 2018, Gong experienced injury setbacks during his spell in Arnhem, limiting his appearances to twenty one.
The Golden Boot Soccer Academy product has blistering pace and very good technical ability, and has drawn comparisons with Liverpool star Sadio Mane.
